Who We Are
National Capital Poison Center offers poison prevention education through: 1) Distribution of teaching materials to area preschools and child care centers;
2) Distribution of prevention materials to more than 500,000 parents and children annually through pediatrician's offices, health clinics, hospitals, obstetrical units, health fairs, fire departments, children's shoe stores, public libraries, community and church groups, Safe Kids coalitions, PTAs, school nurses, and classes for babysitters and new parents; and
3) Media-based programs (press releases, interviews, public service announcements, radio and TV appearances).

These poison prevention materials are available for residents of the Washington, DC metro area only. If you live elsewhere, contact your poison center.
