Financial Assistance

LCAC provides emergency assistance to families with utilities, rent, mortgage, medical services, and other essential needs. LCAC’s goal is to keep families from becoming homeless.  Families are helped to find matching funds from other community resources and agencies in order to cover one-time financial crises if LCAC is unable to help with the entire bill. Families are encouraged to help match a portion of the funds needed. LCAC works closely with Fairfax County Coordinated Services Planning (CSP) in order to maximize available resources and avoid duplication.



Financial assistance is paid directly to vendors (utility companies, landlords, etc.) and is limited to families within the service area. LCAC serves households in 22060, 22079, 22199, and 22122.



All households receiving any type of assistance from LCAC are required to provide IDs, current proof of address (utility bill or other current mail), current proof of income, and birth certifications of all children.
