Immigration Legal Services

Immigration Legal Services (ILS) focuses on the provision of direct legal immigration services to foreign-born individuals and their families.  ILS also focuses on training lawyers to provide pro bono services and educating community groups on the latest immigration issues.



The lawyers of Immigration Legal Services (ILS) provide immigration counseling and legal representation regarding matters before the Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Areas covered include immigration and naturalization issues such as green cards, asylum and deportation defense, employment issues and self-petition for battered spouses.   Program is available to all. 



For help with an immigration legal matter, the intake sessions are the first step.  Go to any of the following locations listed on the website during weekly walk-in hours. Consultation fees vary and are listed for each location. 



For an appointment, consultations in English and Spanish are available at 201 East Diamond Ave, 3rd Floor, Gaithersburg, MD.  Call 301-740-2523 to schedule an appointment.  The consultation fee is $60.
