Talking Magazine | Blind & Physically Disabled

Choice Magazine Listening (CML) offers a free audio anthology of high-quality magazine writing for the blind, visually impaired, physically disabled, or dyslexic subscribers.  CML selects and records memorable writing from approximately 100 magazines to provide 12 hours of unabridged articles, fiction and poetry read by professional voices.  The magazine is brought to you four times a year.  A digital talking-book player is required for listening.
 

• If you already have the digital talking-book player from the National Library Service (NLS),  you can download CML to your computer.
• If you already have the digital talking-book player but are not able to download, you can sign for a free subscription by mail.  The digital talking-book cartridge must be returned in the mailer postage-free.
• If you are still using the older four-track cassette player from the NLS, we can send you CML on special-speed four-track cassettes.
• If you don’t yet have the free digital talking-book player, simply fill out the NLS Application for Free Library Service, have it signed by a certifying authority such as a physician, nurse, or social worker, and send it to your regional talking-book library or contact us.  Once the player is received the free subscription can start.
