Who We Are

Mediation Center of Charlottesville provides mediation as a way to resolve disputes. Disputes can be any type: poverty, violence, divorce, eviction, property violations, foster care placement, substance abuse and much more; between family members, neighbors, businesses, landlord-tenant, etc. A neutral third party will help you and others that you are involved in a dispute with come to a mutually satisfying agreement.

Family Mediation covers issues about separation, divorce, child custody or other family disputes.

Truancy Mediation is a process that brings together students, families and school administrators to discuss other issues that interfere with a child's attendance and resolve poor attendance and in school.

Provides training and workshops on conflict resolution.

Arbitration is a very useful next step if Mediation is not successful or if the parties involved in the dispute prefer to have a third party decide the outcome.
