Employment Training and Support Services, People with Disabilities

Rockbridge Area Occupational Center (RAOC) Sheltered environment provide situational assessment, training, employment, and employment support services to people with severe disabilities in Rockbridge County to promote the social, cultural, and economic interests of people with disabilities. Work closely with the Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services and area social service agencies providing vocational rehabilitation services, including school to work transition employment services for high school students.

An important aspect of the center-based facility is the ability to offer a wide variety of social activities that allow the employees to develop close relationships with others and to help each other overcome some of the limitations of their disabilities.
