Who We Are
Rockbridge Area Relief Association (RARA) offers Voluntary Emergency Relief Service- assistance for basic human needs such as food, heat, utilities, and rent. It was established to alleviate dire needs for those in the Rockbridge Area who do not qualify for assistance from government-established programs. RARA does not cover assistance for the purchase of clothing, prescriptions, or phone bills. Please call for assistance:
Labor Day through Memorial Day: Monday-Thursday 9:30 am-4:30 pm
Memorial Day through Labor Day: Mon. & Wed. 1:00-4:00, Tues & Thurs. 9:30 am -12:30 pm
The Food Pantry, located at 350 Spotswood Drive, Lexington, Virginia (by Stonewall Jackson Hospital) is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 2:30 until 4:30 pm and on Saturday 10 am until Noon.
