Who We Are

The Housing and Neighborhood Preservation Department assists prospective home buyers with a variety of resources when buying a home.  Often even though home ownership in Virginia Beach can be very affordable, the cost of a down payment or closing costs often act as a barrier to buying. In addition, many people do not know enough about how to become a homeowner or how to qualify for a mortgage.  The Home Buyer Education program can connect you to a variety of educational resources, and assistance programs to help you make this important investment.
