Who We Are
The Day Support program is for adults with developmental disability The program focuses on daily living, socialization, leisure, recreation, volunteering and pre-vocational skills when in the community. Staff works with individuals to reinforce individual strengths; assistance is given with personal care needs.
Training occurs in both center and community-based environments. In the center, a daily menu of activities is varied and allows for enhancement of skills/strengths in the activities of daily living. These may include, but not be limited to, skills such as making choices, social interaction, communication, self-care, hygiene, simple meal preparation, medication management, simple housekeeping, money skills and community integration/safety. Activities provide opportunities to build basic skills for employment and independent living such as carrying out tasks, becoming a member of a group, communicating with peers and others and using community resources.
