National Sports Center for the Disabled provides outdoor sports and therapeutic recreation programs for people with physical, cognitive, emotional or behavioral challenges. Both summer, fall and winter activities are offered.
Winter sports include Alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, Nordic hut trips, snowshoeing and ski racing. Summer sports include sports ability clinics, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, special camps, therapeutic horseback riding, mountain biking, camping and rock climbing.
Disabilities served but not limited to: Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Amputation, Arthritis, Autism, Behavioral health, Bone Disorder, Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Deafness, Developmental Disabilities, Down Syndrome, Epilepsy, Learning Disabilities, multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Disorder, Muscular Dystrophy, paraplegia, Spina Biffida, Spinal Cord Injury, vision loss and more.
All programs are designed for individuals, families and groups and are available for all levels of ability, from beginner to advanced.
