Rocky Mount Day Center

The Roanoke Day Center provides support to individuals with disabilities who receive Medicaid Waiver funding.  The services include training, assistance and specialized supervision for the acquisition, retention, improvement of self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills. The programs provide peer interaction and opportunities for community and social integration. Day Support focuses on enabling an individual to attain or maintain his or her maximum functional level and may include training in the following areas:

• Self, social, and environmental awareness skills.
• Sensory stimulation, gross and fine motor skills.
• Communication and personal care.
• Community resources and safety awareness.
• Learning and problem solving skills.
• Adapting behavior to community and social settings.

Day Support is offered at the Rocky Mount and Roanoke Jobs Campus. Individuals living in Goodwills 31 counties and 13 cities service area are eligible for services, however are responsible for their own transportation.
