Day Support Services, Intellectual Disabilities, Hillsville

At The Mount Rogers Community Services Board, Mount Rogers Industrial and Developmental Center (IDC) provides work services and personal growth for persons with disabilities, through the provision of the following programs: Short-term programs include Work Adjustment, Situational Assessments and Supported Employment. Long-term services are provided in the Extended Employment, Work Readiness, Day Support and Prevocational programs. Services are offered in Atkins, Hillsville, and Wytheville, Virginia.



Day Support is a long-term service that provides training, assistance, or supervision to support persons with intellectual disabilities to acquire and improve skills in areas of daily living.



Training and assistance will be provided in the areas of:

• Personal care;
• Communication;
• Social skills;
• Community integration;
• Other adaptive living skills.
