Who We Are
Ramp by Students is also known as Ramp Access Made Possible by Students (R.A.M.P.S.)
Modular wheelchair ramps are assembled by student volunteers for low-income mobility impaired individuals. Modular ramps are used because they can be assembled and installed faster than wooden ramps, are more versatile, provide flexibility and are recycled when removed.
Having the ramp makes an immediate improvement in the lives of the recipients.
Students initiate, plan and execute their own fundraising events in order to purchase the materials needed to build the ramps Students donate their time on a weekend or day off from school to assemble the wheelchair ramps at the home of the recipient.
