Supportive In-Home Services, Developmental Disabilities

Shenandoah Valley Community Residences (SVCR) operates a Supported Living Program as a less restrictive environment to our supervised apartments. Consumers are assisted in locating their own apartment or home in the local Winchester area. Staff continue to work on improving the consumer's independent living skills in areas of personal care and social skills. There is no staff supervision on the weekends. Average staff supervision per consumer is between 1 and 5 hours per week.

Associated Support Services are also provided by SVCR Staff. This includes but is not limited to: transportation to and from appointments and activities, day support, recreational/leisure activities and opportunities. In addition, SVCR serves as Representative Payee for consumers as necessary. These services are provided Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
