Who We Are
In accordance with the American with Disabilities Act standards, the James City County Division of Parks and Recreation provides leisure opportunities and recreation programs, which are open and accessible to all citizens in the County regardless of physical or mental ability. If you, a family member, a friend, or a client, have a special need, the staff will be happy to assist you.
The fitness area is equipped with special adaptive equipment for those who use wheelchairs, lack mobility or require physical therapy. Aquatic chairs are available for swimmers who use wheelchairs.
Please give us at least three weeks’ notice prior to the class or program start date to make reasonable accommodations. It is out intent to provide a safe, successful, and enjoyable experience for all. For any questions on Inclusion or Therapeutic Recreation programs please call 259-5377.
