Training Center, Development Disabilities

Southeastern Virginia Training Center provides training to individuals with development disabilities. Part of our expanding mission is to increase the number of individuals with developmental disabilities who can participate in community sponsored events and recreational activities and to serve as a resource to the community, lending adaptive recreation equipment to the individuals residing in community.

Staff provides evaluation, treatment and training in the areas of speech/language, physical and occupational therapy, recreation/leisure, vocational and audiology. The Center also offers training in self-care, language, independent living, socialization, academic/cognitive skills and motor development.
