Partial Hospitalization Program, Day Treatment Program (PHP)

The Winchester Community Mental Health Center, Inc. Partial Hospitalization/Day Treatment Program (PHP) is an intermediate level of care, providing short-term intensive clinical interventions to adult patients who are experiencing an acute onset or exacerbation of symptoms, situational crisis, avoiding hospitalization or making a transition from an inpatient to a community setting. It is believed that with support, an intensive level of clinical structure, and therapeutic interventions, individuals can rebound faster from onset or relapse of symptoms, can shorten crisis periods, can prevent hospitalization/re-hospitalization, shorten the length of inpatient stays, or successfully transition from inpatient settings to the community.



Referrals are accepted from hospitals, physicians, psychologists, psychotherapists, patients, and social service agencies.
