Blue Ridge Care Connection for Children (BRCCC)

Blue Ridge Care Connection for Children (BRCCC) is a program sponsored by the Virginia Department of Health which is an advocate for Children with Special Health Care needs.  The Care Connection for Children Program is part of a statewide system that helps families coordinate community and educational resources with medical expertise to ensure that Children with Special Health Care Needs can reach their maximum potential.



The care coordinators connect families with:

• Medical Visits
• Accessing Medical Services
• Transition
• Health Care Payment Options
• School Issues
• Social Supports
• Community Resources
• Help you find out what you don't know you don't know

Staff offers advice, education and support to all families regardless of income requirements.   BRCCC can also offer financial assistance and support with some pre-approved medical bills, equipment and medications.



BRCCC is a collaboration between the Virginia Department of Health and the University of Virginia Children's Hospital.  BRCCC is directly affiliated with the UVA Children's Hospital.
