Foreclosure Prevention

Piedmont Housing Alliance (PHA) is your local agency providing help in cases when foreclosure threatens.  You should come to see PHA as soon as you think you may have problems paying your mortgage, for example, if you experience a layoff or other job interruption, or if bills are piling up.



Foreclosure specialists will look at your financial situation to determine what are your options with regard to avoiding foreclosure.  If circumstances warrant it, the specialist will make contact with the lender to see if the lender is willing to work with you to make your mortgage more affordable.
