Who We Are

Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (HNNCSB) provides outpatient mental health therapy services as well as screening, intake, referrals, coordination, collaboration, and resources to deaf, hard-of-hearing, late-deafened, and deaf-blind (DHHLDDB) individuals of southeastern Virginia.

Provides resources, referrals, support, and collaboration to and with providers and families of DHHLDDB individuals. Initial diagnostic interview assessments are provided upon admission. Hampton-Newport News CSB also houses linguistically and culturally competent psychosocial day program and case management services for DHHLDDB individuals with a serious mental illness. Interpreter services are provided for appointments with our psychiatrist who has been seeing DHHLDDB individuals since 1988.

If the consumer has transportation, the consumer must come to the HNNCSB site unless there is a hardship. In case of hardship, the counselor/coordinator may meet at a Community Services Board location closer to the consumer or at another pre-arranged location. HRT bus stop is in front of Building 200.
