In-person assistance is available at local IRS offices by calling (844) 545-5640 to schedule an appointment. 

The IRS also administers free tax help programs including Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) that have nationwide sites for in-person tax filing assistance.
