Who We Are

The Youth Transition Program of the Blue Ridge Independent Living Center (BRILC) is part of the fifth-course service. The Youth Transition Program assists youth in building self-confidence to foster and maintain independence during various times of transition. Services are focused on assisting post-secondary youth with disabilities between the ages of 17 to 24 who were eligible for an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Education Plan while in school. 

Services include: 

  • Individual Youth Mentoring, 
  • Assistance in Goal Planning, 
  • Youth Group Empowerment Meetings, 
  • Assist youth with the transition from high school, college or trade school and employment. 

All services are consumer-controlled.
