Who We Are
The Movement Disorders Policy Coalition (MDPC) brings together advocacy groups, health care providers, patients and other stakeholders to inform policy impacting patient-centered care for people living with movement disorders.
By producing educational materials, hosting events, and leading direct advocacy efforts, MDPC supports patient-centric health care delivery models and the physician-patient relationship. As a coalition of stakeholders, MDPC advocates at the federal, state, and health plan levels for key health reforms that increase access and personalized care for patients with movement disorders.
MDPC advocates for reforms to utilization management practiced that block patient access. This includes step-therapy, non-medical switching, prior authorizations, and specialty-tiers with high co-insurance.
