Get DirectionsWho We Are
At People in Need (PiN), they have created a transitional housing program that takes the homeless from living on the streets to self-sufficiency. Their housing program isn't just a place to live: they have created a job training program called ChangeMakers which creates structure and accountability. The ChangeMakers is a system of practical training to enable those that are homeless to gain employment.
Other services included for the homeless are:
- Recovery Groups to provide drug, alcohol, anger, and co-dependency recovery groups for the homeless in Coastal Virginia. Walk-in for these are Saturdays at 9 am and Tuesdays at 6 pm.
- Medical Assistance of basic first-aid, preventative medicine, or transportation to resources. Sign in on Thursdays at 1 pm, or Sundays at 1:30 at Mount Olive Baptist Church.
