Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

Good health and eating nutritious food go hand in hand. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), helps people buy the food they need for good health. There is an income requirement to receive SNAP benefits. Good nutrition and eating a healthy diet can be done on a limited budget. SNAP benefits can help you buy certain foods from approved stores. You may be able to get SNAP benefits if you are:

  • Elderly or disabled
  • Working for low wages or working part-time
  • Unemployed
  • Receiving welfare or other public assistance payments

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: https://www.ascr.usda.gov/filing-program-discrimination-complaint-usda-customer, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992.  Submit your completed form or letter to USDA by:
