Youth Therapeutic Recreation

Therapeutic recreation division of the Hampton Parks and recreation department offers a variety of programs to give disabled youth the opportunity to participate in recreation and leisure programs.  For children being signed up for therapeutic recreation, staff completes an assessment to assure they are placed in a program that meets their needs. Winter break and spring break programs are available as well a summer camp.



Recreational activities and programs offered to individuals with any disability condition except emotional disturbance and mental illness.



A physician's release is required for the programs engaged in strenuous exercise.
