Who We Are

The Salvation Army's Family Services program strives to break the cycle of homelessness by providing assistance to help families stay in their homes and by helping families that may not be eligible for services from the public sector.   The program:

  • Assists clients through direct financial support
  • Assists clients by helping with utility bills
  • Assists clients in obtaining referrals
  • Assists with rent payments if at least one month behind

Material assistance is short-term, emergency assistance.  The Salvation Army may provide rent or utility assistance.  The Salvation Army also provides counseling to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of people seeking help.
