Socialization, Exercise and Recreation for Adults with Disabilities

Therapeutic Recreation Services of the Roanoke Valley (TRS) provides specialized and adaptive recreation and leisure services that empower adults with disabilities to gain the knowledge and skills needed for the development of a leisure lifestyle that meets their interests and needs.  TRS partners with the City of Roanoke and the City of Salem to provide programs for people with disabilities. 

Some of the classes and events include animal education class, movie club, dinner dates, Leisure seekers, Up cycling, Karaoke party, climbing wall, morning canoeing, trips, bowling, wellness and fitness programs, and more.



Call for more information about each class and registration.  Some programs are "high demand" meaning they fill up fast.  If a class fills up, the participant will automatically be placed on a wait list and will be notified when space becomes available.
