Substance Abuse Counseling

Living Free Health Services (LF) of Annandale offers the various service components that are designed to meet clients needs dealing with substance abuse problems.

The Primary Treatment Group helps individuals to cope with personal issues that fuel their addiction and to repair the damage created by their disease. An Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) is developed. The duration of treatment varies depending on the ITP and individual progress.

As part of a commitment to continuing support, LF introduces the philosophy of 12 Step Programs to include AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) and NA (Narcotics Anonymous). Clients are supported to cope with personal issues that fuel their abuse or addiction through Intensive Outpatient Group Therapy.

Intensive Outpatient Group therapy identifies behaviors and problems related to the abuse or addiction to alcohol or substances and offers coping strategies for stabilization or recovery. It helps group members attain knowledge and understanding of the disease of chemical dependency.

Spanish speaking groups are led by a culturally sensitive counselor and provides psycho-educational groups to the Spanish speaking population in a cultural based program. The program addresses Latinos' unique linguistic, cultural and socioeconomic needs by offering participants a psycho-educational, interactive individual and group experience.
